the whole design of the M4 system was to make it extremely adaptable. the base of an M4A1 and a cylindrical grip, and a folding butt stock. but that's the beauty of it. you can put ANYTHING you want on it, picitinny rails lining the whole top of the weapon. and of course picitinny rails for the forward grip. and if by "the pointy aiming things" lol you mean the front sight. usually if the weapon is going to have optics mounted, EO-TECH or an ACOG (Sometimes used together for magnification) the front sight would get in the way. most models now adays have Fold down BUI's (back up iron sights). and there are many different models of stocks, different companies Develop new stocks to fit the user better such as cheek rests or elevation control.
This is the closest i could find to a Stock M4A1
But what your talking about seems like a pretty Customized weapon, Now this is a fully decked out M4A1 ( please ignore the fact that its airsoft , thats all thats on the internet nowadays...)
Notice the different pistol grip, the Different stock with a cheek rest. the fold down BUI's, the Foregrip/bipod, the different Barrel cover, the CQB muzzle break and the CCO sight.
